The Kidney Foundation of Canada

Our Role

This wasn't a project that started with a script.

It started with research.

Over the better part of a year, we worked alongside The Kidney Foundation through strategy, creative development, and production to understand the experience we were trying to represent and find the most human way to tell it.

The story also hit close to home.

The film was loosely inspired by Jesse's own experience with kidney disease and receiving a kidney transplant earlier in life.

That personal connection helped shape the creative.

Rather than explaining kidney disease from the outside, we wanted to put the audience inside the experience — following someone through the uncertainty of diagnosis, treatment, transplant, and the possibility of getting their life back.

That became With You For Life.

From there, we built the campaign around the idea.

Campsite led the creative and production from research and strategy through writing, casting, filmmaking and delivery, ultimately expanding the story into a full 360 campaign across broadcast, digital, social, radio and supporting campaign assets.

It wasn't about finding a production model and fitting the story into it.

We built the production around what the story needed.

The Challenge

Kidney disease is complicated.

For the people living with it, it can mean years of uncertainty — diagnosis, treatment, dialysis, transplant, recovery, and everything that comes after.

For The Kidney Foundation of Canada, the challenge was telling that story in a way that could help people understand the reality of kidney disease without reducing it to statistics or a traditional awareness campaign.

They needed something people could feel.

And they brought Campsite in from the very beginning to help figure out what that should be.

The Result

With You For Life became a national awareness campaign for The Kidney Foundation of Canada, connecting an intensely personal story to a much larger conversation about kidney disease, organ donation, and the role the Foundation plays throughout that journey.

The campaign reached Canadians across broadcast, digital, social, and radio, generating millions of impressions and a measurable increase in campaign awareness.

But for us, its impact went even further.

It was the first project Campsite ever made.

In many ways, it established the philosophy we've carried with us ever since: get close to the problem, understand what actually matters, find the idea inside it, and build whatever team and production that idea needs to become its best version.
