SPAM: Ramen Night

The Challenge

SPAM’s agency came to us with a clear ambition: change the way the brand showed up on screen.

They wanted to move SPAM into a more contemporary, cinematic world—one that could introduce the product to a new generation while still feeling unmistakably like the brand.

Rather than handing us a predetermined visual approach, they trusted us to help define what that new look could be.

We built the creative around one simple idea: make SPAM impossible not to want.

That meant treating the product like the star. We got unreasonably close to the texture, caramelization and sizzle in the pan, using macro food photography, warm cinematic lighting and deliberate camera movement to give SPAM a richer, more tactile visual language.

But changing the look wasn't just about the food. We wanted the entire world around it to feel different too—natural performances, lived-in spaces and genuine moments of discovery rather than the conventions of a traditional food commercial.

That approach carried from the hero film through a wider library of modular assets, creating a cohesive new visual world for the brand across the campaign.

Our Role

The Result

A fresh visual direction for an iconic product.

By combining elevated food photography with natural, human storytelling, we helped SPAM show up in a way that felt more contemporary and cinematic—while holding onto the familiarity and personality at the heart of the brand.
