Tim Hortons: Canadian Dream

Our Role

Our role wasn't to change the idea.

It was to help it reach its full potential.

The more we explored the concept, the more we realized people don't remember every kilometre of a journey.

They remember how it felt.

That shift changed everything.

Rather than trying to film every province, we focused on the locations that carried the emotional weight of the country.

A controlled hero day in Toronto captured the moments that benefited from a larger production.

A five-person travelling team crossed the country, filming in Banff, Calgary, Quebec City, and along the St. Lawrence River—locations carefully chosen to make Canada feel expansive without having to film all of Canada.

Weeks before anyone boarded a plane, the route had already been mapped through Google Street View. Every stop had been scouted, every location considered, every kilometre planned with intention.

To keep the collaboration seamless, the agency and client remained connected through a live camera feed streaming directly back to Toronto, allowing the campaign to evolve in real time.

The Challenge

Tim Hortons wanted to tell a national story.

A road trip across Canada. Mountains. Prairies. Coastlines. Small towns. Big cities.

The idea was simple: no matter where you go in this country, a Tim Hortons is never too far away.

The ambition was clear.

The challenge was delivering that feeling without a coast-to-coast production.

The Result

The campaign became a national road trip without requiring a national production.

By designing the production around the feeling of the story instead of the geography, we created a campaign that felt expansive, authentic, and unmistakably Canadian.
